The best Super Bowl commercials [VIDEO]

What a finish. Even if you’re not a Giants (or Patriots) fan, Super Bowl XLII was definitely a game worth watching.
Also worth watching – not surprisingly – were the commercials.
Who would have ever thought MySpace.com would partner with advertisers to make every single commercial available online?
Check out my favorites after the jump.
First Quarter Winners: Bud Light and Bridgestone
Bud Light always comes with the funny, and this year was no different. I gotta use some of these tricks the next time I’m invited to a wine and cheese party… CHEESE RUN!!!
The special effects in this one from Bridgestone are fantastic, and I love the look on the man’s face as the woman screams her head off:
Second Quarter Winners: FedEx and T-Mobile
Boss: So let me get this straight. You’ve solved all our shipping problems with pigeons?
Employee: Carrier pigeons, sir.
…
Boss: What about the big stuff?
Employee: That’s been taken care of.
Hilarity ensues:
I’ve seen T-Mobile commercials in the recent past that featured basketball players Dwayne Wade and Charles Barkley. The latest installment takes their BFF relationship to the next level:
(Honorable Mentions: Cars.com, Tide to Go, Budweiser)
Third Quarter Winners: Vitamin Water and Bud Light
Ever thought Shaquille O’Neal could transition into a career on horseback as a race jockey?
Me neither.
But he does just that in this commercial for Vitamin Water. Check out the basketball moves he uses while trying to win his race:
And Bud Light does it again, this time with cave men, a wheel and a bottle opener:
(Honorable Mentions: “Semi-Pro” movie trailer, Bridgestone and E-Trade)
Fourth Quarter Winners: Bud Light and Amp Energy Drink
Okay, I promise I’m not just picking the Bud Light commercials because it’s also my favorite of the big beers. But when you throw Will Ferrell into the mix, in character for his upcoming movie (”Semi-Pro”) of course, it’s pure comedic gold.
“Bud Light. Suck one!”
And finally, words cannot describe this one. You just have to watch:

Dude! I LOVED the one for Coca-Cola where the Underdog and Stewy (the “baby” on Family Guy) balloons are fighting over the Coke-bottle balloon … because the ultimate winner of the Coke bottle is CHARLIE BROWN! Even better, considering how, despite all her promises that she woudln’t, Lucy would always yank the football away just as he ran up to kick it … and yet there he was winning the Coke bottle during the biggest football game there is!
I really liked the cavemen and the wheel one too, mostly because it was satisfyingly predictable.
