Love it or hate it, MySpace.com is now one of the big dogs when it comes to discovering new content online. The site has different sections for music, videos, stand-up comedians and celebrity news. They even have a section dedicated to karaoke!

That’s why it’s impressive to note that Hawaii’s own DJ Jimmy Taco is this week’s featured hip-hop DJ on MySpace.

Dude has been on staff at KIKI-FM going on 15 years now, doing his part to help get local artists their shine via his weekly specialty mix show, “Mind Tactics,” along with serving as a station mixer during various dayparts.

It’s good to see one of the veterans of the local scene getting the recognition he deserves.
