Concert News: Thrice, Underoath and Unwritten Law
BAMP Project continues to show no signs of slowing its all-out assault on the local concert scene.
Once again, rock fans were the main beneficiaries when BAMP announced two new shows and the rescheduling of a third earlier this afternoon.
If you haven’t realized by now, the vast majority of concerts in Hawaii are directly affected by the artists’ performance schedules in Australia, New Zealand and/or Japan.
When Thrice arrives in Honolulu for its Sept. 5 concert at Pipeline Cafe, we’ll catch the California-based band at the tail end of a nearly month-long European tour and dates in Australia. When Underoath plays Pipeline on Oct. 4, they will have already toured for nearly three months on the mainland, as well as in Europe and Australia.
And Unwritten Law? They’ve been rescheduled to play Pipeline on Aug. 27 after a month of concerts in Australia.
Reggae fans also have a new show to get excited about. BAMP already announced Steel Pulse will headline the “Summer Tsunami Music Festival” at the Waikiki Shell on Aug. 24, but followed up last week with word that Sean Kingston has been added to the lineup.
Tickets for all shows are available now at Ticketmaster outlets, except for the Unwritten Law concert, which will be available for purchase at 9 a.m. Friday.
