Are you on the bandwagon?
Maybe it’s because I’m a USC graduate (Fight On Trojans!) who is more interested in watching my team destroy Illinois on New Year’s Day, but I’m having a hard time getting jacked up for the Sugar Bowl and the University of Georgia.
That hasn’t stopped local residents from spending thousands of dollars on travel packages to New Orleans, site of the annual bowl game that will feature the country’s only undefeated team (even in overtime, not just ‘regulation’).
The Warriors have also inspired a number of local artists to record new music in tribute to the team’s incredible run. I’ve got singles from Frank De Lima, Willie K and Cory Oliveros for you to listen to after the jump.
And don’t forget to check out my post about the Good Neighbor Fund Holiday Sale for a shot at some Christmas cheer, courtesy yours truly – just be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page!

Features editor Betty Shimabukuro, my immediate boss at the Star-Bulletin, is pretty popular among publicists and other PR types from both Hawaii and the mainland.
She gets a lot of stuff sent to her. So does Style editor Nadine Kam and Entertainment editor Gary Chun.
But most of those freebies are sent unsolicited, and we don’t have the time or resources to mail everything back.
Our solution? An annual sale open to Star-Bulletin staff, with all proceeds going to the paper’s Good Neighbor Fund.

Local concert promoter BAMP Project is expected to announce Incubus’ return to Honolulu later today, bringing the band back to the islands for the first time in more than a decade.

Local artist Aaron “Angry Woebots” Martin recently collaborated with local retailer Fitted Hawaii to release a limited edition New Era baseball cap featuring the irate panda graphic that’s his claim to fame.
Dozens of people lined up outside the shop last Saturday for a chance to purchase the hat and an even more limited Angry Woebots print that Martin had brought along with him (watch for them on the counter in front of Martin in the video).
Once again, big up to Kavet the Catalyst for getting the footage and chopping it up for the rest of us to watch.
