Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer Trent Reznor has announced an appearance in Honolulu with his band, Nine Inch Nails (pictured above), at the Blaisdell Arena.

Tickets for the Sept. 18 concert are priced at $52.50 and $55, and will go on sale at 9 a.m. Aug. 4 at all Ticketmaster outlets.

NIN, which Reznor founded in 1988, is getting ready to launch a summer tour in support of “Year Zero,” which was released in March. The band arrives in Honolulu after concerts in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Tickets also go on sale Aug. 4 for a return performance by Fountains of Wayne, the power pop/rock band that hails from Williamstown, Mass. They’re scheduled to play Pipeline Cafe on Oct. 23; tickets will be available at Hawaii’s Natural High as well as all Ticketmaster outlets.

Best known for their 2003 mainstream hit, “Stacy’s Mom,” the band is currently on tour in support of their latest album, “Traffic and Weather.”

Fountains of Wayne’s last visit to the islands came in 2003, when they headlined the “Off the Heezy Fo Sheezy Party” at the Beach House.

ASIA Concert Canceled

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

By Jason Genegabus

Depending on who you ask, next month’s concert by 80’s favorites ASIA is either canceled… or just postponed.

The official word right now from promoter King Michel Concerts is that the show is off, with refunds available at the point of purchase.

But a source tells me that the show might be rescheduled for later this year at a different (read: SMALLER) location. Slow ticket sales might have had something to do with the decision.
