Last week, I wrote about the launch of a new Friday party at Cirque Hawaii with the help of some outside promoters.
Now, your favorite European promoter Simon Kersten and the single-named Cano team up to kick off Summer 2007 at Cirque on Saturday.
More details on that party, plus “Honolulu” at Longhi’s, a special event at the O Lounge and local hip-hop at Don Ho’s Island Grill, after the jump.
KONA BREWING Co. has hit another home run with the release of its latest seasonal beer, Wailua Wheat.
There won’t be any beautiful women in bikinis hanging out at Bar 35 this weekend (I think), but “Partymaster” Justin Yoshino - the lucky guy in the middle of the two Garth sisters above - will be in Chinatown for “Smooth Series 6: Divas in the City” on Saturday.
If you’re a fan of ’80s music, don’t sleep on NextDoor tonight. The Smiths’ former bass player, Andy Rourke (pictured above), will make his second appearance at the Chinatown nightspot as a guest DJ during “Acid Wash Wednesdays.”

I can now officially call myself a “local celebrity,” thanks to MidWeek and Jamie Kennedy.
AS WAS first reported last week in my online blog, www.sonecessary.tv, Bay Area rap legend E-40 is returning to Honolulu for a concert next month.
Local hip-hop is getting more opportunities than ever at a variety of venues on Oahu.
The latest addition to the scene is “Samsara,” going down on Thursday at NextDoor.
GM Entertainment held a press conference this afternoon to announce the 2007 Diamond Head Crater Celebration, which featured the Oahu debut of Mick Fleetwood’s Island Rumours Band.
